  • Vinitaly, here we come!

    We are thrilled to announce that this year again we will be participating in Vinitaly, the most important wine event in the country.

    From April 14 to 17, 2024, you can find us inside pavilion 6 together with @ERSAFVGinforma, ready to offer you the best of the latest vintages from Borgo delle Rose.

    From still whites to full-bodied reds to sweet bubbles, all palates will be satisfied, we are sure of it!

    We look forward to living and tasting together a sparkling 56th edition.

  • ProWein 2024

    This year, we will be participating for the first time at ProWein, the international trade fair dedicated to wine and spirits, which is now in its thirtieth edition.

    From March 10 to 12, 2024, you can find us at Messe Düsseldorf, where we will have the opportunity to present all our products alongside more than 4,000 exhibitors from around the world.

    With immense satisfaction, we announce today our double triumph at the 33rd Mundus Vini International Wine Awards – Summer Tasting 2023.

    We have proudly brought home two medals, once again affirming the quality of our creations:

    • Gold for our Ribolla Gialla IGT
    • Silver for our Chardonnay IGT

    We are extremely proud of the results achieved, particularly for the Ribolla Gialla, which has received its first official recognition. On this occasion, we want to reiterate our commitment to continuously raising the bar and producing wines of even greater quality.

    Award Ceremony of the 77th National Wine Exhibition of Pramaggiore

    It is with immense satisfaction and pride that we announce our winery’s triumph in securing three new accolades at the 77th National Wine Exhibition of Pramaggiore, an event that annually draws wine enthusiasts and producers from all over Italy.

    The magnificent setting for this outstanding experience was Venice’s La Fenice Theatre, where we were honored with:

    – The Regional Silver Bacchus for the winery that achieved the highest number of awarded IGT wines per region (IGT Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, IGT Sauvignon, IGT Ribolla Gialla, IGT Chardonnay)

    – The Gold Medal for the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region (DOC Pinot Grigio, IGT Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, IGT Sauvignon, IGT Ribolla Gialla, IGT Chardonnay)

    – The City of Pramaggiore Award for the wine that scored the highest in the Competition by region (IGT Chardonnay)

    Albina Poles, Cimolai’s widow, has passed away

    Albina Poles

    She passed away Saturday afternoon at the age of 91, Albina Poles, widow of Cimolai, who together with her husband Armando had founded the industrial group of the same name.

    She was a key figure in the development and growth of the company, which was founded in 1949 in Pordenone and, with more than 70 years of history, represents an internationally recognized excellence of Italian industry in the manufacture of complex steel structures.

    Mrs. Albina had been awarded the honor of Knight “Al merito della Repubblica Italiana” on 02.06.1980.

    She was active until the last, with the professional and entrepreneurial commitment that always distinguished her, in the companies Armando Cimolai Centro Servizi and Azienda Agricola Cimolai – Borgo Delle Rose.

    All the people of the Cimolai Group join, with affection and gratitude, to the grief of her sons Roberto with Mariella, Luigi with Kira and of her grandchildren Francesco, Paola, Carla, Lorenzo, Armando, Ludovico and relatives all.

    Armando Cimolai

    Armando Cimolai, founder of the Cimolai Group, passed away last night at the age of 94.

    He was a pioneer of industry in Italy. In 1949, he created, in Pordenone, the company that in over 70 years of history has become a reference point for Made in Italy in the world, a globally recognised excellence in the production of complex steel structures.

    Visionary and firmly anchored to family and work values, Armando Cimolai remained active until a few days ago with the company Armando Cimolai Centro Servizi.
    He received numerous honours during his lifetime, including appointments as Cavaliere del Lavoro (1973), Ufficiale (1980), Commendatore (1984), Grande Ufficiale (2004), an honorary degree in Mechanical Engineering, awarded in 2005 by the University of Trieste, and the appointment as Cavaliere di Gran Croce conferred in 2020 by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.

    Everyone in Cimolai Group join, with affection and gratitude, in the grief of his wife Albina, his sons Luigi and Roberto, and their families.

  • Rosè DOC, Cabernet Franc e Ribolla Ferma | Borgo delle Rose

    Three new labels for wine lovers: Rosè DOC, Cabernet Franc and Ribolla Ferma

    Three new labels have been added to the seven Borgo delle Rose wines already available.

    One of these is Rosè DOC. We’ve already talked about this wine, but an extra bit of information won’t harm anyone. Distinctive traits? Its particularly floral and delicately fruity aroma, with hints of apple and red berries, that marries perfectly with its dry, harmonious palate featuring a delicate and pervasive finish. Ideal as an aperitif, it is the perfect accompaniment for appetizers and finger foods. It pairs very well with seafood, ranging from fried to raw and moderately-elaborate second courses. It enhances the flavour of cured meats and cheeses, brings out the nuances of vegetable risottos and is perfect paired with white meats cooked at low temperatures.

    The second new label is Cabernet Franc, featuring aromas of red fruits, blueberries and blackberries with grassy undertones. It is full-bodied and persistent yet elegant and refined, perfect with grilled meats and pasta dishes served with wild foul or game sauces.

    The last new entry is Ribolla Ferma, delivering a dry and slightly acidic, fragrant and complex palate with very inviting scents of white flowers enriched by light notes of fruit and green apple. The best pairings? With seafood dishes, in particular fried fish; also excellent with vegetable recipes and mild cheeses. Then again, if you decide to sip it before a meal as an aperitif, get prepared to be more than satisfied.
